Courtside Chat: Dwight Howard and Shaquille O’Neal Talk Hoops and Hilarity

Dwight Howard: Hey Shaq! Long time no see, my man! How’s everything going?

Shaquille O’Neal: Dwight! What’s up, big fella? I’m good, just living the ‘Diesel’ life. You know how it is. What about you? Still dominating over in Taiwan?

Dwight Howard: Yeah, man! It’s a different world over there, but hooping is hooping. The fans are incredible. How’s the analyst life treating you?

Shaquille O’Neal: Can’t complain! It’s fun talking basketball without having to deal with those double teams anymore. But you know I miss clowning on the court. So tell me, how’s the food over there? Any fun stories?

Dwight Howard: Oh man, the food is wild! I tried stinky tofu for the first time—thought I was gonna pass out, but it’s actually kinda good after a few bites. And the fans? They got this chant for me, it’s like, “Dwight, block party!” They love the defense as much as the dunks.

Shaquille O’Neal: (laughs) Block parties and stinky tofu, I love it! You need to bring that energy to TNT one night. We could use some of those Dwight antics. Remember the Superman cape?

Dwight Howard: Oh, you know it! Still got that cape tucked away. Never know when I might need to make a comeback. Speaking of capes, did you see LeBron’s new shoe ad? Man’s practically flying in that thing.

Shaquille O’Neal: Yeah, I saw it. King James doing his thing. But I was the original Superman, remember that! (laughs) It’s all love. So what’s next for Dwight Howard? Any big plans cooking?

Dwight Howard: I’m just taking it day by day, but I’ve got some ideas. Maybe a cameo with you guys on Inside the NBA, show off my analysis chops. And you know, the dunk contest could use some old-school flair again. Might have to show these young guys a thing or two.

Shaquille O’Neal: That would be something! You know The Big Aristotle is always here to back you up. But remember no stinky tofu on set, okay?

Dwight Howard: (laughs) Deal, Shaq. Thanks for the chat, my man. Always good catching up. Let’s do this again soon!

Shaquille O’Neal: Anytime, Dwight! Keep holding it down out there. Stay blessed!

And that’s a wrap on this courtside chat! Stay tuned for more conversations from the legends of the game.
