An Inside Look: Brian Stuard Chats with Fellow Golfer Jordan Spieth
Brian Stuard: Hey Jordan, long time no see! How’s everything on your end?
Jordan Spieth: Brian! All good over here, just been juggling tournaments and trying to keep up with life. How about you? How’s the game treating you lately?
Brian Stuard: Pretty well, actually. I’ve been focusing a lot on my putting game – it’s all about those fine margins, you know. Speaking of which, you’ve been killing it on the greens lately. What’s your secret?
Jordan Spieth: Thanks, man! Honestly, it’s a blend of practice and mental strength. I always try to keep those nerves in check, especially during high-stakes moments. And let’s not forget the importance of a solid breakfast. (laughs)
Brian Stuard: (laughs) True that! I’ve been trying this new regimen, a mix of protein shakes and granola. Got to keep that energy up. So, Jordan, who do you think is the next big name to watch in golf?
Jordan Spieth: That’s a tough one. There are so many talented guys coming up. I’d say keep an eye on Collin Morikawa. He’s been super consistent and his composure is just next level.
Brian Stuard: Totally agree. His iron play is insane. Speaking of young guns, any advice you’d give to the rookies stepping into the big leagues?
Jordan Spieth: Stay patient and keep learning. It’s easy to get caught up in the initial buzz, but the true test is maintaining that consistency. And never underestimate the power of a good support system.
Brian Stuard: Couldn’t have said it better myself. So, before I let you go, I’ve got to ask: any fun off-course hobbies you’ve picked up?
Jordan Spieth: Oh man, you’d laugh, but I’ve gotten into gardening! It’s relaxing and totally different from the intensity of golf. Yourself?
Brian Stuard: Gardening, really? I wouldn’t have guessed! For me, it’s more about fishing. There’s something about the calmness of the water that just clears my mind.
Jordan Spieth: That sounds perfect, especially after a hectic tournament schedule. Maybe we should trade tips sometime – gardening for fishing!
Brian Stuard: You’re on! It’s a deal. Catch you at the next tournament, Jordan. And don’t forget to bring some of those gardening secrets!
Jordan Spieth: (laughs) Will do, Brian. Take care and good luck with the putting!
Brian Stuard: Thanks, buddy. See you out there!
