A Casual Conversation with Kris Letang and Sidney Crosby
Kristopher Letang (Kris): Hey Sid, how’s it going? Excited for the new season?
Sidney Crosby (Sid): Kris! Doing good, man. Yeah, definitely pumped. Hard to believe it’s already that time again. How was your summer?
Kris: It was great, spent a lot of time with the family and did some off-season training. Went to the beach a lot with the kids. You?
Sid: That sounds perfect. Mine was good too, just kept it low-key. Lots of golf, and some fishing. You know, the usual.
Kris: Oh, for sure. Did you crush everyone on the course again?
Sid: Had some good rounds, but you know it’s all in fun. Speaking of fun, I saw your Insta stories. Looked like you had some wild workouts. What’s the deal with those beach sprints?
Kris: (laughs) Yeah, trying to mix things up! Running on the sand is killer, but it builds crazy strength and stability. Plus, it’s a nice view.
Sid: Absolutely, you get the hard work and get to enjoy the ocean at the same time. Not a bad combo. So, what are you looking forward to the most this season?
Kris: Honestly, just getting back out there with the boys, the competition, the atmosphere. Missed that energy. And you know, got to show these young guys how it’s done.
Sid: (laughs) Right, right. Always a mentor, huh? It’s gonna be a great season though, I can feel it.
Kris: For sure, man. Plus, a few new faces on the team, that’s always interesting. Keeps things fresh. Any advice for the rookies?
Sid: Just the usual – work hard, play smart, and listen. Especially listen. Experience is key in this game, as you well know.
Kris: Spoken like a true captain. Well, here’s to another great season, Sid. Let’s make it one to remember.
Sid: Cheers to that, Kris. Let’s get it.
And with that, the two seasoned pros clink their water bottles, ready to face the ice once again.
