Pierre-Luc Dubois: The Man Behind the Mask
Interviewer: Welcome, Pierre-Luc Dubois! It’s a pleasure to have you with us today. How’s it going?
Pierre-Luc Dubois: Hey, thanks for having me! Things are going great. Just wrapped up a training session, so you caught me at a good time.
Interviewer: Awesome! So let’s dive right in. You’ve been making waves in the NHL, but let’s rewind a bit. What got you into hockey in the first place?
Pierre-Luc Dubois: Well, I was born in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec, where hockey is pretty much in everyone’s bloodstream. My dad was a professional coach and player, so I was always around the rink. I think I learned to skate before I could even walk!
Interviewer: That’s incredible! Speaking of your dad, he must have been a big influence on your career. Any particular advice from him that you still carry with you today?
Pierre-Luc Dubois: Definitely. He always told me to “play every game like it’s Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.” It’s about giving 110% each time you step on the ice, regardless of whether it’s a big game or just practice.
Interviewer: Wise words! Now, transitioning to current events, you’ve had quite an adventurous year with trades and new teammates. What’s it like adjusting to new teams and locker rooms?
Pierre-Luc Dubois: It’s exciting and challenging at the same time. You have to learn new systems and get to know your new teammates quickly. But it’s also a fresh start, which can be really invigorating. Plus, I’ve been lucky to join teams with great locker room atmospheres.
Interviewer: That’s great to hear! Outside of hockey, what does Pierre-Luc Dubois do to unwind? Any hidden talents or hobbies we should know about?
Pierre-Luc Dubois: Haha, well, I wouldn’t call them talents, but I love playing video games. It’s a great way to decompress. I also really enjoy cooking. I’m always looking for new recipes to try out.
Interviewer: Cooking, you say? What’s Pierre-Luc Dubois’ signature dish?
Pierre-Luc Dubois: Oh, I’d have to go with my homemade pasta. It’s been a hit with friends and family, and I love the process of making everything from scratch.
Interviewer: Sounds delicious! One last question before we let you go. What’s next for Pierre-Luc Dubois? Any goals or dreams you’re chasing in the upcoming seasons?
Pierre-Luc Dubois: The ultimate goal is, of course, winning the Stanley Cup. But I also want to continue growing as a player and as a person. Every season is a new opportunity to improve, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds.
Interviewer: Fantastic! Thank you so much for your time, Pierre-Luc. We wish you all the best on and off the ice.
Pierre-Luc Dubois: Thanks! It was great chatting with you.
