A Day in the Life of Austin Riley

Austin Riley: Hey, man! Great to see you. Ready for another day at the ballpark?

Braves Manager, Brian Snitker: Always, Austin. You’ve been on fire lately. What’s your secret? Got a new pre-game ritual?

Austin Riley: (laughs) If only it were that simple! Honestly, just sticking to the fundamentals and making sure I get my reps in. And, of course, a lot of Tex-Mex from my favorite spot. You know how it is!

Brian Snitker: (laughs) Tex-Mex, huh? So that’s the fuel behind those homers? I’m going to have to mention that to the nutritionist. On a serious note though, your defense has been top-notch. You’ve been putting in extra work there too?

Austin Riley: Definitely. Can’t just focus on hitting. Got to be the complete package, you know? Remember how bad my footwork used to be? Now I’m just trying to make those plays look smooth.

Brian Snitker: You’ve come a long way, no doubt. Any match-up you’re particularly looking forward to this season?

Austin Riley: Oh, for sure. Facing the Mets is always a highlight. Their pitching staff is tough, but it makes every hit that much sweeter. Plus, the energy from the fans is on another level.

Brian Snitker: Yeah, those games are electrifying. Last question—off the field, how do you unwind? Got to keep that balance.

Austin Riley: Honestly, it’s all about family time and hitting the golf course. Nothing like a round of golf to clear your head. And if there’s a lake nearby, you might find me fishing there!

Brian Snitker: Sounds like the perfect way to recharge. Keep doing what you’re doing, Austin. The team’s counting on you.

Austin Riley: Thanks, Skip. Let’s go out and get that win today!

Brian Snitker: Absolutely. Let’s make it happen.
